Skull Preservation
Partnering with our trusted local taxidermist, we now offer skull preservation.
Please contact us for pricing and more information on the process.
AquaCrossings offers skull preservation for dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, hamsters, and amphibians. If you are choosing to honor your pet in this way, pet parents must decide on skull preservation before the Aquamation process begins. Our trusted skull preservation artist will take the pet’s head into their care, and using cold water and hot water maceration the skull is preserved with no remaining tissue.
The skull is then degreased and treated to try to prevent discoloration. Your pet’s skull will then be placed in a glass display and can be filled with fresh or dry flowers for memorialization. It is important to note that due to our natural process with the skulls, some discoloration may occur in a few months.
Pet parents often create shrines or shelves in their homes dedicated to their beloved pet. This can be a great way to memorialize your pet and have a space where you can spend time to reflect on all of your memories together.

“I cannot thank Michelle and Matthew enough for all the care & compassion they showed me during such a difficult time. It was a tremendous comfort to know they were handling my sweet Ali with such respect. The facility has a lot to offer including memorial pieces. Eco-friendly alternative cremation is the way to go!”
— Julie D.
“I lost my childhood best friend/miniature schnauzer Yoshi earlier this week. The owners were so thoughtful in answering our questions about what aquamation is and how it works. It’s awesome that the process is ecofriendly. Although they recently opened, I felt really confident and supported throughout this decision process.”
